Another honor for Davis
St. Michael’s College field hockey junior Cassaundra Davis (Newburyport High) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference first team last week. She was among 14 players across the 11-school league selected. Davis was one of eight forwards chosen for the first team.
Davis, who landed on the NE-10 All-Rookie Team in 2011 before missing the entire 2012 season due to injury, was the first St. Michael’s all-conference first team pick 2008. She is currently tied for seventh in the league in goals (12) and is ninth in points (29), posting career highs in each category, as well as in assists (5). In 34 career contests, Davis has 45 points and 19 goals. Of the 26 goals in which she has played a hand during her career, 15 either gave her team the lead or tied the game.
