Kelleher lifts Port offense in victory

Boys Lacrosse

Newburyport 18, Ipswich 7

Matt Kelleher led Newburyport in its opener with six goals and one assist. Michael Shay and Tyler Matses tallied four goals and three assists each. Brandon Barraclough scored two goals. Nick Federico had a goal and an assist. J.J. Bajko scored a goal. Jared Healey had two assists. Drew Bourdeau added one. Dillon Guthro made 10 saves in the victory.

Georgetown 6, Triton 5 (2OT)

Neil Murphy (2 goals, 1 assist) scored the game-winner for the Royals. Nick DePasquale also had two goals and an assist. Tim Quinn and Jared Warren added a goal each for Georgetown. Scott Perry had two assists. JoJo Mangano made 20 saves in the win.

Girls Lacrosse

Ipswich 14, Newburyport 9

Kate McCauley led Newburyport (2-2) with three goals. Ali Peffer and Livie Couturier added two goals each. Julia Kipp and Kelly Conway scored one each.

Triton 13, Georgetown 11

Kaitlyn Muldowney scored four goals and added two assists for Triton (2-4). Megan Hickey and Nicole Sullivan had three goals and one assist each. Caroline Baniont added two goals and an assist. Meghan Muldowney tallied a goal and an assist. Freshman goalie Emma Cashman made 15 saves. For Georgetown, Marisa Agganis scored four goals. Kathryn Gibb and Chelsea Burke scored two each. Grace Ann Conte, Madeline Cannon and Jennifer Migliaccio scored one goal each.

Girls Tennis

Ipswich 3, Pentucket 2

Nicole Downey won her first singles match (6-0, 6-1) for Pentucket in its opener. Second doubles partners Anna Quattrini and Mary Kate O’Regan also earned a victory (6-3, 3-6, 6-4).

Boys Tennis

Pentucket 3, Ipswich 2

Jack Donahue won his second singles match (6-0, 6-4) for Pentucket (1-1). Danny Ryan and Adam Chory won at first doubles (6-3, 6-4). Logan Sherwood and Will Kopaciewicz won at second doubles (6-2, 6-1). Ryan and Chory also picked up a win (6-3, 6-2) in Pentucket’s 4-1 loss to Masconomet Monday.

Masconomet 4, Triton 1

Triton’s second doubles team of Devon Shuman and Niko Marcolini won 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 (7-5).
