Pentucket junior McKenna Kilian finished in fourth place at the State North Heptathlon championships held in Quincy on Tuesday with 3,838 points. Kilian placed in the top six in five of the seven events, including tied for first in the high jump (5 feet, 632 points), fourth in the 800-meter run (2:27.30, 727 points), fifth in the 200-meter dash (26.7, 737 points), fifth in the shot put (29-8, 467 points) and sixth in the long jump (16-2, 540 points). She also placed 17th in the javelin (73-1, 331 points) and 29th in the 100-meter hurdles (18.9, 400 points) to round out her performance.
The Amesbury boys track Decathlon team of Patrick Halloran, Fred Halloran and Riley O’Connor from Amesbury High School placed third overall with 14,248 points at the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Decathlon hosted by Burlington High School over the past two days. Salem High School won the event followed by Framingham High School.
