The City of Newburyport will host a World Cup viewing opportunity this afternoon at 12 noon. The match between the United States and Germany will be viewed on a large screen in the auditorium at City Hall. All are welcome.
Peak Performance Clinic
The Peak Performance speed, agility and quickness clinic will run from June 23 through Aug. 15 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at Fuller Field in Newburyport. It is a multi-sport speed, agility, quickness and game conditioning clinic for both male and female athletes. The focus is on injury prevention through training techniques. NEF Golf Open
The Newburyport Education Foundation will be holding its annual Golf Open tournament on Monday, July 21, at 11 a.m. The tournament will be held at the Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill, and all funds raised will go to benefit the Newburyport Public Schools. Registration is $225, and anyone who purchases a ticket by June 30 will also receive a $25 gift certificate to Oregano Pizzeria and Ristorante. Summer Maudslay Summer XC Series
The Maudslay Summer XC series races will be held on Thursday evenings from June 19 through Aug. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Maudslay State Park. Races of 1.5 miles and 3 miles of the runner’s choice will be run with a mutual start time of 6:30 p.m. There is no entry fee — all runners will get their finishing time and all finishers under 14 will receive a ribbon. All runners who complete four or more of the eight races will receive a Summer XC Series T-shirt compliments of Greater Boston Running Company. The races are open to all ages and all abilities.
