Soccer, baseball, field hockey and lacrosse camps and clinics are being offered by Seacoast United Sports Club. From Aug. 4-7, Amesbury will host soccer clinics for 3-12 year olds. Registration for the YWCA’s Tween Summer Program is now open. Children from grades 5-7 will enjoy a variety of fitness challenges geared toward enhancing their cardiovascular and muscular systems while targeting core strength and balance. Instructors are certified personal trainers and fitness instructors. Each session is two weeks and meets twice a week. Amesbury Youth Recreation will be holding Prime Time Lacrosse Day Clinics this summer for players looking to improve their skills. Staff consisting of current and former college and professional lacrosse players will teach all aspects of both individual and team-based skills. Participants should bring their own sticks. The clinic will run from July 28-31, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon and is for kids ages 8-15. Registration is $195 and the clinic will take place at Woodsom Farm. Amesbury Youth Lacrosse is holding the first sessions of its summer lacrosse program for children ages 7-15. The camp is for children with novice to more advanced skills. It will be run by experienced youth lacrosse coaches with the intent of introducing and promoting the sport of lacrosse to the youth of Amesbury. The camp begins July 2. Equipment is recommended but not required and we will be working to have loaner equipment available.
