Summer programs

Triton Regional High School will be hosting a variety of sports camps and clinics this summer. Among the camps being offered are the Co-ed Youth Summer Track and Field clinic (Mondays and Wednesdays, July 7-Aug. 6, $99), the Cross Country clinic (Thursdays July 17, 24, 31 and Aug. 7, 14 and 21, $99), the Girls Lacrosse clinic (Aug. 4-7, $119 Viking, $99 Junior Viking), the Field Hockey clinic (July 7-10, $119 Viking, $99 Junior Viking), the Girls Soccer clinic (Session 1: July 7-10, Session 2: Aug. 11-14, $119 Viking, $89 Junior Viking), the Boys Soccer clinic (July 7-10, $119 Viking, $89 Junior Viking), the Boys Tennis clinic (July 7-10, $119 Viking, $99 Junior Viking), the Boys Basketball clinic (July 14-17, $119 Viking, $99 Junior Viking), the Girls Tennis clinic (July 14-17, $119 Viking, $99 Junior Viking), the Boys Lacrosse clinic (Session 1: July 21-24, Session 2: July 28-31, $119 Viking, $99 Junior Viking) and the Cheerleading clinic (Aug. 11-14, $99). TLCAMPS will be hosting the Sachem Baseball School in West Newbury and the Newburyport Basketball Academy at Newburyport High School during July. The Sachem Baseball School will run three weeks of clinics for various ages and the Newburyport Basketball Academy will run two separate weeks for specific ages. All five sessions will emphasize the proper fundamentals of the game, team work as well as stress the importance of sportsmanship and learning how to compete in a fun atmosphere. Amesbury girls tennis head coach Brett Manoloff will be offering tennis instruction to help local youth to learn the game of tennis. The instruction will begin on Monday, July 21, and continue until July 25. Instruction for grades 1-3 will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m; grades 4-6 will take place between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m; grades 7-11 will take place between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The cost is $60 for the week, and to register, go to amesburygirlstennis.org and click on the ACT page.
