Wall of Fame Golf Tournament

Registration for this year’s Wall of Fame Golf Tournament is now underway. The tournament will take place at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Ould Newbury Golf Club in Byfield. The cost of registration is $75 per player with four players per team, and the competition will follow an 18 hole “scramble” format. Each team will receive two golf carts, lunch will be provided after the tournament., and prizes are available for the winners, runners-up and for those who record the longest drive and closest shots on the par-three holes. This year’s tournament is in honor of past president and treasurer Paul Reilly, who passed in February. The deadline to register is July 31, and for more information contact Roger Fuller at 978-465-8029.

Football

The 32nd Annual Northeast Quarterback/Receiver Football Clinic will run from July 11-13 and will be held at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield. The cost for the program is $470 to be a resident, $370 to be a day participant and $405 to be an extended-day participant. Applications are now being accepted and can be received by calling 800-433-6060 or by emailing northeastfootballclinic@ussportcamps.com. Field Hockey

The Governor’s Academy will host the 39th annual Northeast Field Hockey Academy, directed by Shannon Hlebichuk, head coach of the UMass Lowell field hockey team. There will be two programs, one running from July 13-16 for girls ages 10-18, and another from July 14-16 for girls ages 8-10. Overnight, extended day and day camp options are available for the older kids, and a half-day option is available for the younger ones.
