TLCAMPS will be hosting the Sachem Baseball School in West Newbury and the Newburyport Basketball Academy at Newburyport High School during July. The Sachem Baseball School will run three weeks of clinics for various ages and the Newburyport Basketball Academy will run two separate weeks for specific ages. All five sessions will emphasize the proper fundamentals of the game, team work as well as stress the importance of sportsmanship and learning how to compete in a fun atmosphere. The Masconomet Baseball Clinic will be held in three different sessions by coach T.J. Baril at the high school in Boxford. Sessions are July 8-10, July 15-17 and July 22-24 from 9 a.m. to noon. Local athletes can participate in the Bad Dogs of Summer Soccer Training program from July 9 to Aug. 15. Training will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and registration is $130 per player. Training will be conducted by Newburyport coaching staff and student athlete volunteers, and all proceeds will go to benefit the annual scholarship fund.
