PTO gearing up for Spring Fever 5K

(Continued)

Daigle said registration starts at 9:30 a.m., and the DJ will be playing as people come in so runners can enjoy themselves while they stretch and warm up. Kids can sign up for the Fun Run right up until noon, at which point food and beverages will be provided. Right before the 5K begins, she said Superintendent Susan Viccaro will announce the start of the race, and then the runners will take off.

After the race, awards will be given to the top male and female finishers, along with the top finishers from a variety of age groups. All children who participate in the Fun Run will receive a medal as well, and the first 200 runners to register will receive race T-shirts.

Runners can register online at www.springfever5K.com, and those who have already signed up can pick up their numbers at the Greater Boston Running Club on Saturday, May 3, from noon to 4 p.m.
