Pentucket 72 North Reading 72 (Wednesday)
The Sachems tied North Reading on Wednesday, making their record 1-4-1 on the season. Will Dwyer came in first in the 400 Hurdles at 64.0. Cooper Carifio came in first in the long jump at 18 feet, the 100 at 11.1 seconds and the 200 at 24.0 seconds. Noah Malhi came in first in the triple jump at 38 feet eight and three-fourths inches and the discus (106 feet, 10 inches). Also coming in first was Liam Corkery in the javelin (141 feet three inches) and the 400 (55.4). Alex Demeule finished tops in the mile (4:49.8), and Sam Coppola did so in the 800 (2:08.1). The 4x400 team of Dwyer, Carlos Delcastillo, Jordan Maysonet and Demeule finished first at 3:49.3.
The Sachems will next take on Lynnfield on the road on May 7.
Pentucket 61 North Reading 84 (Wednesday)
The Sachems fell to 4-3 with their loss to North Reading on Wednesday. McKenna Kilian had a great day for Pentucket, finishing first in three categories: the high jump (5 feet), the 400 (63.7), and was part of the first place 4x400 relay team along with Rachel Perry, Ellison Seymour, and Paige Wesolowski which finished at 4:25.3. Also finishing first was Sarah Steele in the javelin at 79 feet nine inches. Maddie Nelson finished first in the 200 with a time of 27.7 The Sachems will next take on Lynnfield on the road on May 7.
