Girls Lacrosse

Triton 13, Pentucket 12

In what was a close and exciting game, Triton held off a late Pentucket charge to win 13-12. Megan Muldowney had four goals and an assist and Skyla Lewis had one goal and one assist. Kylie Sullivan finished with five goals, leading the Vikings. Sarah Ganzenmuller finished with two goals and Lily Dow had one. For Pentucket, Erin Mikson had three goals and three assists, while Sarah Wiles had three goals as well.

Down one goal with two seconds left, Pentucket had possession but fell just short of scoring the tying goal.

Softball

Newburyport 11, Lynnfield 12

Ashley Hodge had a triple and two doubles and Amy Sullivan had three singles and two RBI’s. Victoria Allman also had a strong game with two singles and two RBI’s, but it wasn’t enough as Newburyport fell to Lynnfield at home yesterday, 12-11. Newburyport will now focus on its meeting with Masconomet on Monday.
