Pentucket 6, Methuen 2
Pentucket bounced back from last week’s brutal overtime loss at Triton with a big 6-2 win over Methuen. All six of the Sachems goals came from different sources, with Nick Arcadipane, Sam Colombo, Brendan Sullivan, Nick Zaia, Ryan Beaton and Jeremy Binding all scoring a goal each. Connor Beaton and Colombo both and an assist as well, and with the win Pentucket is now 11-5 and will wrap up its regular season tomorrow against Bishop Fenwick.
Newburyport 17, Lynnfield 6
Newburyport beat Lynnfield 17-6 yesterday to win its ninth game in a row and finish the regular season 11-4. Lilly Donovan had a big day for the Clippers scoring 5 goals with 1 assist, followed by Julia Kipp, who had 3 goals and 2 assists, Ali Peffer and Olivia Kearney, who each had 3 goals, Kelly Conway, Lily Riley and Sofia Carlat, who each scored a goal, and Brenna Williams, who recorded an assist. Kearney and Kipp also recorded 5 draw controls each, and Izzy Sarra made 7 saves in net.
Pentucket 14, Georgetown 5
Sarah Wiles had 4 goals and 2 assists for the Sachems, Grace Dore had 3 goals and 1 assist, Sam Fiore had 3 goals, Ana Maura-Cook had 2 goals, Erin Mikson had 1 goal and 1 assist, Sarah Maurer had 1 goal and 1 assist and Tori Ruggeiro had 10 saves in net as Pentucket improved to 6-11 on the season. Pentucket wraps up its season today against Chelmsford at home at 3:45 p.m.
Triton 16, Swampscott 9 (Sunday)
Triton beat Swampscott 16-9 on Sunday to qualify for the postseason for the first time in two years. Nikki Sullivan scored 4 goals for the Vikings, Lily Dow had 3 goals 1 assist, Megan Muldowney scored 3 goals, Skyla Lewis had 2 goals and 1 assist, Emily Willey had 2 goals, Hope Leonard and Sarah Ganzenmuller each had 1 goal, Hannah Clark and Erin Savage each had 1 assist, and Emma Cashman made 11 saves in net. With the win, Triton is now 9-7-1 on the year and will end its regular season today at home against Georgetown.
