Methuen 4, Amesbury 3

Amesbury softball lost to Methuen 4-3 in the Methuen Invitational Championship game on Saturday to wrap up the regular season. The Indians finished with a 14-6 overall record andwill learn who their first-round opponent will be tomorrow afternoon when the state tournament brackets are released.

Amesbury 6, Whittier 0 (Friday)

Rachael Cyr pitched a complete game, 3-hit shutout, striking out nine while allowing no walks as the Indians beat Whittier 6-0 in the opening round of the Methuen Invitational tournament.

Manchester Essex 3, Triton 2 (Friday)

Triton lost to undefeated Manchester Essex 3-2 over the weekend to finish the regular season 11-5. John DiDonato won at second singles 7-6, 2-6, 6-4, and at second doubles, Jon Kovach and Devon Shuman won 6-7, 6-1, 6-2.
