Anyone interested in learning how to coach tennis is invited to a coaching workshop at the Amesbury High School Tennis Courts scheduled for Saturday, June 7 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Participants will receive a 10 and under on court workshop manual as well as a certificate of completion. No experience is necessary, and to register, go to www.coachyouthtennis.com, create a login, click on the workshop, pay $15 online, print and sign a waiver and take the online courses. The Newburyport Girls Basketball Camp run by Gregg Dollas, coaching staff, and players will be June 23-26. The deadline for registration is Saturday, June 14. Registration for 1v1 Sports Training’s Rage Streetball League is now open. Boys and girls from grades 3-8 are invited to either form a team or join as a free agent and be assigned to a team. The league will consist of eight weekly games, weekly practices, and participants will receive a pinni and shorts. The league will run on Saturdays from June 28 to Aug. 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there will be six divisions, three each for boys and girls, and the age breakdown will go from 3rd-4th grade, 5th-6th grade and 7th-8th grade. The Triton Boys Basketball Clinic will run from July 14-17 from 9:30 to 1:30 at Triton Regional High School. Players will have an opportunity to experience the growing tradition of Triton basketball and benefit from one-on-one interaction from the team’s players and staff.
