Haverhill Middle School Invitational

River Valley Charter School had an impressive debut at this weekend’s Haverhill Middle School Invitational, with six athletes and a relay team placing in the team’s first-ever competition. Colleen Byron placed first in the long jump (15-5) and second in the 100-meter dash (14.32), Berit Palma placed first in the 800-meter run (2:56.23) and sixth in the 400-meter run (1:17.83), Ava Romero placed third in the long jump, Clara Brandt placed fourth in the 200-meter dash (33.47), Jamie McKinney placed fifth in the shot put (20-0), Cam Moore placed sixth in the 200-meter dash (29.92), and the girls 4x100 relay team placed third (1:03.65) out of six schools, including Bradford Christian, Pentucket Middle School, Masconomet Middle School, Ipswich Middle School and Georgetown Middle School.
