Georgetown falls to Lowell Catholic in North Finals

For the second year in a row, the Georgetown baseball team (15-8) saw its dreams of a state championship dashed by Lowell Catholic (21-2). The defending champion Crusaders beat the Royals 9-4 in Saturday’s Division 4 North Final, denying the Royals a chance to win their second title in three years. With the loss, Georgetown will finish its season 15-8, while Lowell Catholic improves to 21-2 and will advance to the state semifinals against south champion Pope John tomorrow at 4 p.m. at Wheaton College.
