Georgetown football team falls to Saugus

Playing without injured quarterback Niko Edwards, the Royals (1-4) fell to Saugus (4-1). Tom Zargaj had 15 carries for 141 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown run for Georgetown. Pat Bjork caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jackson Fritz. The Royals trailed 14-7 at halftime; the Sachems scored 28 unanswered points after trailing 7-0.

Newburyport 8, Amesbury 0

Adam Traxler had two goals and two assists for Newburyport (6-3-1). Jordy Steelman and Tom Graham also scored two goals each. Henry Jacqz and Alan Eagan also scored goals. John Spears had his first varsity assist.

Gus Savage made five saves for the Royals.
