McCarthy earns first coaching victory at Triton

Baseball

Triton 12, Hamilton-Wenham 7

Triton pitcher Jack Germinara earned the victory in his two innings of relief. He entered the game with his team trailing 6-1 and turned over a 10-7 lead to Justin Cashman in the sixth inning. Cashman struck out five of the six batters he faced in two innings of work. Nate Estabrook was 2 for 3 with three runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base for the Vikings (1-2 overall, 1-1 CAL). Billy Mical was 2 for 3 with two runs and three RBI. Cote Wolcik went 2 for 4 with three runs and two RBI. Brad Whitman was 2 for 3 with a run.

Masconomet 6, Pentucket 2

Bobby Barry was 1 for 3 with an RBI for Pentucket (0-1). Bobby Hallowell also collected an RBI.

Softball

Georgetown 12, Pentucket 3

The Sachems dropped to 0-3 with the loss. Georgetown improved to 3-1.

Girls Tennis

River Rivals Tournament

Pentucket’s Nicole Downey and Taylor Aulson took home the River Rival trophy in Division 1. Amesbury’s Nicole Richard and Meghan Chines earned the championship in Division 2.
