Georgetown boys lax team collects 4th win in 5 games

Georgetown 7, Bedford 3

Neil Murphy scored four goals for the Royals (4-1). Scott Perry and Nick DePasquale had a goal and two assists each. Jared Warren tallied a goal and an assist. Joe Mangano made eight saves.

Girls Tennis

Amesbury 4, Triton 1

Stephanie Abraham (6-3, 6-4) and Madison Padgett (6-0, 6-3) won singles matches for Amesbury. Jill Hadwen and Olivia King won at first doubles (6-0, 6-2). Hayley Buonodono and Emily Meyer won at second doubles (6-2, 6-0).

Boys Tennis

Amesbury 3, Triton 2

Matt Bellino (6-0, 6-0) and Grant Bellino (6-0, 6-2) won their singles matches for Amesbury (3-1). Sam Springis and Nick Heitmann won their second doubles match (6-4, 6-2). Triton’s Trevor Mihalchik (6-0, 6-0) won at third singles. His teammates, Henry Jankowski and Matt Faulkner, won at first doubles (6-1, 6-1).


Georgetown 8, Rockport 0

Patrick Slack led Georgetown (4-0) offense by going 2 for 4 with two runs and an RBI. Tom Pingree was 3 for 3 with two RBI. Ben Noelk was 2 for 3 with two runs. Dave Ingraham pitched the shutout. He struck out six and did not issue a walk.

Girls Lacrosse

Marblehead 24, Pentucket 11

Cammie Balentine led Pentucket (3-3) with three goals. Jackie Brennan, Sarah Wiles and Tori Spofford tallied two goals and an assist each. Liza Brackbill and Sam Fiore scored a goal each. Kristen Fitzgerald and Julie Stasiuk had assists. Goalie Tori Ruggerio made 11 saves.

Hamilton-Wenham 16, Georgetown 13

Grace Ann Conte led Georgetown (3-3) with four goals. Marisa Agganis (3 goals, 2 assists) and Chelsea Burke (3 goals, 1 assist) both recorded hat tricks. Kathryn Gibb (1 goal, 1 assist), Madeline Cannon (1 goal, 1 assist) and Megan O’Grady (1 goal) also factored in the scoring.
