Fontaine's 20 points lead Newburyport

Boys Basketball

Newburyport 65, Georgetown 38

Brett Fontaine led Newburyport (13-4) with 20 points and six rebounds. Matt Canning, Ian Michaels and AJ MacDougall played well defensively, according to Newburyport coach Tom L'Italien. Georgetown's Tyler Wade scored six points.

Pentucket 63, North Reading 57

Corey McNamara led Pentucket (9-5) with 25 points. Will Angelini had 23.

Masconomet 63, Triton 49

Richard Fecteau led Triton (4-11) with 22 points. Sam McKenzie added eight points in four minutes.

Girls Basketball

Georgetown 44, Newburyport 42

Casey Barlow had 13 points for Newburyport (12-4).
