Coach’s outlook: “We came within one putt of finishing 9-9 and making the postseason last year. I’m optimistic for a strong season. We’ll keep working on taking it a match at a time, and we’re looking to challenge for the (CAL Div. 2) league title.”

Key players: Senior captains Kyle Bushnell, Brendan Crowther; juniors Travis Koocher, Ben Ventura, Griffin Brown, Juliana Noce; seniors Nina Harrington, Steven Simkins, Tim Brennan.
Impact newcomers: Sophomores Cam Rogers, Austin Elmore, Andrew Coulombe.
Strengths: Senior veteran leadership and quality depth. Crowther finished third in the state last year and first in Division 3 North. Koocher will push for the No. 1 position with Crowther. Ventura is a three-year varsity player and four-year veteran. Harrington is among the top golfers. Brown, Simkins, Brennan, and Noce are all fighting for a top-eight position.
Concerns: A league that always plays quality golf.
First match: At Lynnfield yesterday.
Coach’s outlook: “We look to go after a CAL (Div. 1) championship, as well as be a tournament contender. To do so we have to be consistent in a league where there are quality opponents year in and year out.”
Coach: Jayne Beaton (7th season)
Last season: 7-12
Key players: Krystal Knight, jr, capt.; Brandon Daniels, soph., capt.; John Sirios, sr.; Mitch Murray, soph.; Michael Aiduk, sr., capt.
Impact newcomers: Dan Beaton, jr.; Ben Brackbill, soph.; Ben Gardner, fr.
Strengths: A focused group, working hard and improving. Knight was last year’s No. 1 player with seven match wins and a scoring average of 28. Sirios played in 10 matches with a scoring average of 17.
Concerns: A young, inexperienced team. Many players without match experience.
First match: Played Manchester Essex yesterday.
Coach’s outlook: “I have a young, untested squad. They are working hard and have the golf bug. I’ve seen improvements in their scoring each day since tryouts began. Naturally, having so many players without match experience is a concern, but I think they are a focused group and they’re eager to play.
Coach: Rich Dube (8th season, 91-32)
Last season: 15-5, Division 3 North champions
Key players: Jon Seward, sr., capt.; Kyle Hillick, sr., capt.; Mike Shea, jr.; Ryan Manning, sr.
Impact newcomers: Adam Chatterton, jr.; Brad Small, soph.; Brett Greenberg, jr.; Jake Aponas, jr.
Strengths: Experience and depth.
Concerns: Consistency from match to match.
First match: Played Saugus yesterday.
Coach’s outlook: “The team has worked hard at their golf games during the summer months. We expect to represent Triton well and be competitive in every match we play.”
