Reidy strong on the mound against Hamilton-Wenham

Baseball

Amesbury 10, Hamilton-Wenham 0

Andy Reidy continued his dominance on the mound for Amesbury (6-4). He pitched six shutout innings, allowing three hits and two walks. He struck out five. Mac Short was 3 for 3 with a double, three runs and an RBI. Devlin Gobeil was 3 for 4 with a run and two RBI. Sean Bannon and Tommy Connors both went 2 for 4 with two runs scored. John Pesci was 2 for 4 with two RBI.

Triton 10, Ipswich 4

Winning pitcher Justin Cashman logged six innings and recorded eight strikeouts for the Vikings (6-5). He allowed one earned run. Adam Chatterton had three hits, two RBI and one run scored. Nick Cornoni had two hits, two runs. Cote Wolcik added two hits.

U14 Baseball

Newburyport 9, Woburn 0

Quin Stott had two RBI and two hits for Newburyport. Myles Maloof had two hits and Max Leonard had two RBI. Jonathan Jalajas, Erik March and Joel Skaff all contributed with hits. Jake Valcich put together a nice outing on the mound, giving up only two hits and no earned runs. Skaff pitched in relief and struck out five batters.

Newburyport 17, Woburn 2

Brian Hadden had an impressive outing pitching, giving up no hits and only two earned runs. Quin Stott and George Troupe pitched in relief. Jake Valcich had three hits and three RBI, Troupe had three hits and two RBI, Stott hit two doubles and had two RBI and Erik March had two hits. Max Leonard, Noah Van Schalkwyk, Brian Hadden and Jonathan Jalajas all contributed with hits.

Girls Tennis

Triton 3, Amesbury 2

Kaley Towns and Anastasia Small posted victories in singles matches for Triton. Clare Delaney and Eliza Mullen won at second doubles.

Boys Tennis

Triton 3, Amesbury 2

Travis Mihalchik (7-5, 7-6) and Andrew McGrath (6-3, 6-0) won singles matches for Triton (3-6). Matt Faulkner and Henrik Jankowski won a doubles match for the Vikings. Matt Bellino won a singles match for Amesbury. Josh Edy and Tim Dwight won at doubles.
