Colby Morris pitched a complete-game two-hitter for Newburyport. He allowed one run, no walks and struck out seven in his first win of the season. Ian Michaels led the offense with two hits for the Clippers (6-4).
Hamilton-Wenham 3, Georgetown 2
The Royals (7-4) dropped their fourth game in a row after starting the season 7-0. All four losses have been one-run differentials. Tom Pingree was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Colby Ingraham was 2 for 3 with two runs scored.
Pentucket 9, Ipswich 1
Josh Creamer was 2 for 4 with two RBI and three runs scored for Pentucket. Ryan Kuchar earned the win, logging six innings. He allowed one earned run on two hits and four strikeouts. Ryan McGuirk was 1 for 2 with two RBI.
Georgetown 10, Ipswich 5
Jared Warren had four goals and two assists for the Royals (5-6). Nick DePasquale added four goals and an assist. Neil Murphy tallied a goal and an assist. Scotty Perry scored a goal. Zack Graham had two assists.
Hamilton-Wenham 13, Newburyport 12
Michael Shay tallied four goals and three assists for the Clippers (6-2). Steven Matses and J.J. Bajko scored three goals each. Matt Kelleher, Nick Federico and Jared Healey scored one goal each. Alex Buckley made eight saves. Dillon Guthro had two.
CAL Freshman/Sophomore Meet
Pentucket’s McKenna Kilian (400, 1:02.1) and Brianna Repke (800, 2:36.99) won individual events for the Sachems. On the boys’ side, David Greene (long jump, 18-6), Noah Malhi (triple jump, 38-11) and Sam Coppola (mile, 5:03.79) won events for Pentucket.

Pentucket’s Ali Attenasio won a title in the pole vault (10-0).

Nicole Downey (6-0, 6-0) won a singles match for Pentucket (3-5). Beebee Jackson and Boo Torrisi (6-0, 6-2) won at first doubles. Anna Quattrini and MaryKate O’Regan (6-2, 7-5) won at second doubles.
