Pentucket soccer team falls in opener to Saugus

Boys Soccer

Saugus 4, Pentucket 3

The Sachems dropped their opener after leading 3-1 late in the first half. Keeper Logan Sherwood made six saves in the first half, and turned it over to Cody Sedler (4 saves) with his team leading 3-2. The Sachems were silenced in the second half. Defender Dylan Wright played well.


Ipswich 140, Triton 129

Jake Aponas led Triton (1-1) with 25 points. Kyle Hillick added 23.

Girls Soccer

Pentucket 0, Saugus 0

Sachems keeper Kassidy Kennefick made seven saves in the first half, and teammate Ashley Riter made nine in the second half. Freshman Morgan Zanardi played well in the middle for the Sachems. Madeline Torrisi and Gianna Rosenau played well defensively.
