The Newburyport Girls Basketball Summer Clinic run by Newburyport High School coach Gregg Dollas, high school basketball staff and players will be offered for students entering grades 2-9. The Triton Boys Basketball Clinic will run from July 14-17 from 9:30 to 1:30 at Triton Regional High School. Players will have an opportunity to experience the growing tradition of Triton basketball and benefit from one-on-one interaction from the team’s players and staff. NHS Boosters Fundraiser
Oregano Pizzeria and Ristorante has offered to donate a percentage of all proceeds from Wednesday, April 9, toward the Newburyport High School Boosters. Starting at 7 p.m., the Boosters will hold a live auction at the restaurant for a baseball signed by David Ortiz. If you can’t make it out for dinner that night, the proceeds from takeout will count too.
Registration is open for the Amesbury Girls Youth Softball League spring season. This program is open for all girls in grades 3-8 who are residents of Amesbury and South Hampton. Amesbury Little League registration is now open. There are five divisions: T-Ball (age 5); Single-A: Instructional baseball with coaches pitching (ages 6-7); Double-A: Instructional baseball with youth pitchers (age 8); Triple-A: Competitive baseball with youth pitchers (ages 9-10); and the Majors (ages 11-12). The registration fee is $90 per child for A through Majors; T-Ball is $45 per child. Family maximum is $180. Parent volunteers are needed for coaching, fundraising and league operations.
