Triton girls lacrosse opens season today at Gloucester

(Continued)

As for a weakness, Beaulieu acknowledged that the team’s youth and inexperience could be a challenge early on, especially with two sophomores playing in goal. Regardless, Beaulieu said she’s excited for the season and is setting her expectations high.

“We have our eyes forward looking at when the season is over, we want to have been competitive in every game, but we’ll be disappointed with anything short of a winning season,” Beaulieu said. “We have our sights set on a state tournament, and we want to get this program back to its winning ways like it was three years ago.”

The Vikings kick off their season this afternoon on the road at Gloucester. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.
