Holland nets two goals in Royals win

Girls Soccer

Georgetown 2, Ipswich 0

The combination of Casey Decareau to Nicoline Holland worked wonders for the Royals, as Decareau provided the service to both of Holland's goals. Jamie Block was excellent in net again with seven saves and the shutout, and coach Colleen Gibbs praised sweeper Madeline Duncan for being everywhere on defense, playing physical and having an all-around standout performance.

Georgetown also beat Haverhill, 3-0, on Monday.

Boys Soccer

Masconomet 3, Pentucket 0

Coach Christian Langlois said his Sachems went out fighting tough and made Masconomet earn its victory, as the Chieftains held a 1-0 lead until 10 minutes to go in the game. Langlois said his three seniors — Taylor Beaton, Kyle Chapman and Paul Mansfield — all played well in their final game.

Ipswich 3, Georgetown 1

Andrew Nowak scored the lone goal for the Royals (4-10-4). Ryan Browner had the assist.
