Jennilou Brogan (dash), Hailee Gibadlo (2-mile), Emma Richardson (300), Julia Shorter (600), Samantha Stone (1,000) and Marissa Randall (shot put) won individual events for Amesbury (2-5).
Masconomet 70, Amesbury 68
Amesbury fell in a close contest with Masconomet last night. Four players had double-digit scoring nights, led by Ryan Foley with 22 points, three rebounds and four assists. Jack Fortin tallied 17 points and seven rebounds for the Indians. Pat Halloran scored 12 points and gathered six rebounds, while Fred Halloran also had a strong offensive game, scoring 11. Next for Amesbury is a meeting with Saugus on Friday night.
Newburyport 59, Manchester-Essex 48
Dillon Guthro led the way for the Clippers with another double-double, scoring 10 points and tallying 16 rebounds. Drew Bourdeau also came up big for Newburyport with 12 points, while Dan Baribeault continued his strong offensive year with 15 points in the win.
