Triton beats D3 North rival Wakefield

Triton 45, Wakefield 33

Triton (14-5) beat one of the best teams in Division 3 North. Brody Johnson, Josh Misiano, Jake Durkin, Cody Nixon, Mark Boyle and Alec Moffat won by fall for the Vikings. Lewi L’Heureaux won by forfeit in the 145-pound weight class.

“This was a very good dual meet,” Triton coach Shawn McElligott said.

“We beat one of the best teams in Division 3 North. They are always well coached and tough. The meet came down to the last match as Alec Moffat was down 4-3 going into the second period and was able to catch Tim Carbonneau and pin him for the win. This was a great team effort overall.”

Triton is now off until Saturday, when the Vikings will travel to Beverly to take on Beverly High School and Billerica High School.
