Georgetown falls to Masconomet in OT

Georgetown 77 Masconomet 83 (OT)

Pat Bjork and Matt Gott’s 17-point performances weren’t enough as Georgetown fell to Masconomet in overtime last night. Brian Slack tallied 15 points while Ben Melk contributed with 14.

With the loss, Georgetown falls to 9-3 on the season. They will now look toward their match up with Saugus on Monday.

The Clippers reached double-digit wins last night, beating the Indians with strong performances by Morgan Johnston, Shelby O’Brien and Mary Pettigrew. Johnston would finish with 14 points and four rebounds, while O’Brien had a strong defensive performance with nine points, five rebounds, two assists and eight steals. Pettigrew fell just three rebounds shy of a double-double, finishing with 11 points, seven reboudns, one steal and one block.

Newburyport is now 10-3 on the year and will next take on 9-2 Lynnfield on Monday.
