Triton beats Pentucket in CAL Championships tune-up

Triton improved to 14-6-1 in what coach Shawn McElligott called “our best team effort.” For the Vikings, Brody Johnson (106 lbs.), Ramses Medrano (113 lbs.), Mark Rosmarinofski (126 lbs.), Luke Boyle (138 lbs.), Nate Eastabrook (152 lbs.) and Mark Boyle (160 lbs.) recorded pins. Dave Manning (195 lbs.) and Jake Lyons (285 lbs.) won by forfeit.

For Pentucket, Tom Funk (120 lbs.), Jeff Funk (145 lbs.) and Sean Clohisy (220 lbs.) recorded pins. Josh Wesolowski (132 lbs., 8-6) and Mike McCarron (182 lbs., 4-0) won by decision. Colin Bode (170 lbs.) won by forfeit.

Girls Basketball

Saugus 45, Triton 31

Hannah Canning had 12 points for the Vikings (1-12). Christine Ciccone added five. Kaitlyn Muldowney (6 rebounds) and Nicole Sullivan (8 rebounds) scored four each.
