Aly Leahy scored seven of her 11 points in overtime to lift the Clippers (10-6 overall, 9-4 CAL) to their fifth win in a row. Rebecca Kell hit a pair of free throws with 2.9 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime. Lea Tomasz led Newburyport with 18 points. Emily Pettigrew added 10 points and seven rebounds.
“We’ve been crawling back,” Newburyport coach Greg Dollas said. “It’s a team effort, every single girl played.”
Pentucket 57, Triton 13
Tess Nogueira led Pentucket (17-1) with 13 points. Kelsi McNamara added nine. For Triton, Megan Muldowney scored seven points. Camille Mihalchik had two points and six rebounds.
Lynnfield 56, Amesbury 51
Grant Bellino had 11 points and 18 rebounds for the Indians (7-9). Devlin Gobeil added 10 points. Tommy Connors scored nine, including two 3-pointers. Pat Halloran had six points, nine rebounds and two blocks.
Georgetown 55, Ipswich 45
Matt Gott led the Royals (4-12) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Patrick Bjork added 15 points and 12 rebounds. Georgetown was 11 for 14 from the free-throw line in the second half.
