Julie R. Aldridge and Thomas P. Kelley

Julie Rebecca Aldridge of Columbia, S.C., and Thomas Patrick Kelley of Newburyport, were married Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Kathwood Baptist Church in Columbia. The 6 p.m. evening ceremony was performed by The Rev. Dr. Paul Randall Wright. Dr. Irina Pevzner, pianist from Charleston, S.C., provided music. A reception was held at the Summit Club following the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of The Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Marion Douglas Aldridge of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. William Rhett Craig, Jr. of Greenville, S.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Carlton Aldridge, Jr. of North Augusta, S.C. The bride attended Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Curtin University in Perth, Australia, and graduated cum laude from Clemson University in Mathematical Sciences. She also earned her master's degree in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and is currently employed with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Patrick Kelley of Newburyport. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Smith and Mr. John Edward Kelley, and the late Mrs. Katherine Margaret Doyle Kelley, all of Newburyport. Mr. Kelley graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University's Calhoun Honors College with a bachelor's and master's degree in History. He currently attends law school at Suffolk University in Boston and works at Sullivan & Sullivan LLP in Wellesley.

Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Jenna Aldridge Barrett of Columbia. Bridal attendants were Vivian Nicole Dover of Charleston, S.C., Fleming Kennedy Fuller of Gary, N.C., Christopher James Huffman of New York, N.Y., and Kristina Marie Kelley, sister of the groom, of Exeter, N.H. Molly Katherine Kelley from Newburyport, sister of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid. Honorary attendants who also served as greeters or readers were Adair Cody Craig of Edisto Island, S.C., Jacqueline Sue Karpel of Charleston, S.C., and Chelsea Cheyenne Ives of Chicago.

Sean Michael Kelley, brother of the groom, of Chicago, served as best man. Groomsmen for the wedding party were Jack Anthony Kelley of Newburyport, brother of the groom, Matthew Nelson Allen of Brooklyn, N.Y., Patrick Michael Denehy of Philadelphia, and Daniel Fain of Charlotte, N.C.

After a wedding trip in Ireland, the couple will reside in Newton, Mass.
