Feting fall

The annual American Music & Harvest Festival is set for Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. at the Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm in Newbury.

The event, benefiting several local education foundations, features a full lineup of bands along with a variety of farm activities, vintage baseball games, tractor rides, food, tours of the 1690 manor house and more.

Advance tickets are available online at www.newburyportef.org for $15 per person or $30 per family. Tickets will also be available at the event, with prices going up to $20 and $40.

All about soul

Later Saturday, check out last year’s American Music fest headliner, Barrence Whitfield, as he opens the new season of the Belleville Roots Music Series.

The Beverly-based R&B and soul singer known for his frenzied, powerful performances will take the stage at 8 p.m. at Belleville Congregational Church, 300 High St., Newburyport.

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 on the day of the show, and $10 for youths 18 and under.

Oktoberfest comes to Greater Newburyport this Saturday, with BareWolf Brewing and Brick & Ash both hosting celebrations.

Each place will offer an outdoor biergarten, live music, games and authentic German food — including bratwurst — with the festivities running from noon to 10 p.m. at BareWolf, 12 Oakland St., Amesbury, and 2 to 8 p.m. at Brick & Ash, 10 Center St., Newburyport.

Both events are family-friendly, and there are no admission fees.
