Q: I'm a 40-year-old mother of three young kids who has had a drinking problem since high school. I probably drink once or twice a week; it's just that when I start, I can't stop until everything is gone. I've tried not drinking wine and other tricks to manage my drinking, but the truth is it's beyond what I can handle. I've attended several AA meetings, but I have a hard time relating to some of the people there, though I would definitely consider myself an alcoholic.
