HAMPTON BEACH — Bernie’s Beach Bar at 73 Ocean Blvd. will host a fundraiser June 17 to help fight the opioid addiction epidemic.
This fundraiser starts at 2 p.m. and will benefit the Seacoast Alliance for Emancipation, or SAFE. The nonprofit’s mission is “to educate the public about the opioid epidemic and to support organizations that assist in the fight against it.”
The event will feature live music, raffles and a live auction. In addition, raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win a hand-carved eagle — an original collectible by local noted carver Henry Boyd. The raffle drawing will be held at Seacoast Harley-Davidson on June 24.
SAFE is incorporated as an approved, tax-exempt nonprofit organization, which makes donations to the group tax deductible. The organization raises money to support addicted individuals and local drug addiction-related nonprofit organizations.
SAFE concentrates efforts on helping those whose lives are being destroyed due to the addictions of family members and friends, including the children of addicts.
