Triton senior golfer Andrew Fecteau was named the Moynihan Lumber Male Student-Athlete of the Month for September after leading his squad to a 10-0 record. The award, which is given to one male and one female athlete each month, is voted on by a collection of sports editors from The Daily News of Newburyport, The Salem News, The Gloucester Times and The Daily Item of Lynn.

Masconomet's Abbey D'Agostino, a junior cross country athlete, won the female award for September. The selection pool of students includes those from all North Shore schools — both public and private.

Fecteau, the reigning champion of the Cape Ann League Open, leads Triton in quota points (29 points-per-match average). His current stroke average is 3-over par.

Fecteau ranks 17th in a class of 217 with a 3.97 grade-point-average. He is the treasurer of the Triton chapter of the National Honor Society. He scored a 1,780 on his SATs on the 2,400-point scale.

D'Agostino is the top runner on a Masconomet team that went 6-1 in September. She set a course record at Amesbury on Sept. 24 with a time of 18:11. D'Agostino has a 4.0 GPA on a four-point scale.
