WEST NEWBURY — There will be fun for the whole family the next two Wednesdays at GAR Memorial Library.

On Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m., magician Todd Migliacci will make things appear and disappear — and even float in midair. Todd the Magician has traveled the country to perform his tricks for groups such as The Walt Disney Company, Foxwoods, Holiday Inn, Carnival Cruises, Mercedes Benz, the FBI and more than 100 colleges and universities.

On Aug. 21, the library celebrates the end of summer reading with a visit from the Flying High Dogs.

Led by Mike Piazza, four border collies will jump, flip and do many tricks. Piazza has more than 20 years of experience and holds more than 150 shows per year for groups such as the NFL, NBA, ESPN, Animal Planet and NESN, as well as at fairs, camps and schools.

The canine team features 6-year old Maui, the alpha male; 3-year-old Chaos, the fastest dog of the group; 1-year-old Mojo, the newest member; and 8-year-old Bullet. This outdoor performance starts at 3 p.m.

Both events are free and open to the public. No preregistration needed.
