AMESBURY — A ceremony dedicated to President George H.W. Bush, who died Friday, is expected to highlight the grand lighting of the Brave Maccabees of Amesbury’s menorah today at 6 p.m. in the gazebo in front of Amesbury Public Library.

The menorah has been lighted each night since Hanukkah began Sunday. Mayor Ken Gray is expected to join Rabbi Zalman Borenstein of Anshe Sholom Chabad of Greater Haverhill at the grand lighting.

The menorah will be lighted each of Hanukkah’s eight nights at 6, except for Friday when it will be illuminated between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

All are welcome to attend and donations will be accepted for Fisher House Boston, which provides free homes to family members of wounded military service personnel. For more details, check www.boston.va.gov/services/Fisher_House_Boston.asp.
