Holiday gifts through NEF's Teacher Tribute Program

The holidays are upon us and so is the search for that perfect teacher gift to thank your child’s teacher.

The NEF’s Teacher Tribute Program is a perfect solution to show appreciation to your favorite teachers in a meaningful way while also benefiting the schools.

“It makes me feel proud to work in a community that shows appreciation for its teachers by investing in public education,” said fourth-grade teacher Kathleen Petrie.

What is a Teacher Tribute?

A Teacher Tribute is a donation made to the NEF to recognize a teacher or faculty member.

Your honoree (or honorees) will receive a personalized card, including your message and a message from the NEF explaining your donation along with a Teacher Tribute pin. (If this is the first tribute a teacher has received, they will also receive a ribbon to showcase their pin.)

A NEF volunteer will personally deliver the tribute to your special teacher.

How much does a Teacher Tribute Cost?

Any amount that you feel appropriate is an acceptable form of payment.

Why is the donation important?

Your gift will be invested in the school system through the NEF’s current campaigns, which include districtwide STEM initiatives, partnership grants including the award-winning Sailbot program, the Visual and Performing Arts Festival on the waterfront, and Phase 2 of the fitness room renovation at Newburyport High School.
