NEWBURYPORT — Guests on the Local Pulse live internet radio show Saturday morning will preview the upcoming Repair Cafe Newburyport, chill out about the Frigid Fiver Road Race, and hear from a state senator about her outlook for the new year.

Wendy Leavitt, Margaret Thomas and Ellen Miller (a sewing repairer) will talk with Local Pulse host Joe DiBiase about the Repair Cafe, which encourages people to have items repaired, rather than thrown away and replaced by new items.

Bob Manning and Max Lane will be on the show to talk about the Frigid Fiver Road Race. And Sen. Diana DiZoglio, a Methuen Democrat, will update listeners about pending legislation, goals for 2020, the problem of combined sewer overflows from upstream sewage treatment plants, and the state delegation meeting with city councils.

Local Pulse broadcasts live from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday from the newsroom of The Daily News. To listen live or download previous shows, go to www. NewburyportNews.com/LocalPulse.
