NEWBURYPORT – The city’s Energy Department is hosting a presentation Tuesday on renewable energy options for residents, including the chance to test drive an all-electric Chevy Bolt.
The program will run from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Newburyport Public Library Program Room.
Residents who attend can learn how to integrate solar panels, heat pumps, battery storage, and electric vehicle car charging into your home from 7 to 8 p.m. RSVP to test drive the Chevy Bolt before and after the 7 p.m. presentation by calling 978-308-9041 or emailing email@example.com.
A presentation on “5 Easy Steps for a 100% Renewable Home” will be given by solar specialist and Newburyport resident Haley Belofsky.
She will talk about leaving fossil fuels behind when solar photo-voltaic panels are paired with air source heat pumps for all electric heating, cooling, hot water and battery storage is added.
These appliances use the solar-generated energy to power everything, instead of the grid, for a whole home approach. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.
