NEWBURYPORT – A panel of experts will explore how communities and municipalities can create and keep affordable housing during a public forum Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at Central Congregational Church, 14 Titcomb St.

The roundtable discussion will feature Whitney Demetrius, municipal engagement associate, Citizens Housing and Planning Association; Madeline Nash, senior project manager, Community Economic Development Assistance Corp. and a member of the Newburyport Affordable Housing Trust; and Rick Taintor, former planning director in Framingham and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and consultant to municipalities and state and federal agencies.

The discussion is a free public event hosted by Pennies for Poverty: 2 Cents 4 Change Inc. as part of its Invisible Neighbor series.
