NEWBURYPORT – The Powow River Poets reading series continues Saturday at 3 p.m. at Newburyport Public Library with poets Rhina P. Espaillat and Angela Alaimo O'Donnell.

This afternoon of poetry readings is free to the public.

Espaillat writes poetry, essays and short stories in English and Spanish, and translates both languages. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines and some 90 anthologies. She is a founding member of the Powow River Poets.

Alaimo O'Donnell is a writer, poet and professor at Fordham University. She's written five collections of poems, and her critical essays on contemporary writers are widely published.
