NEWBURYPORT — There are several programs for children this month at Newburyport Public Library, 94 State St.

Second Saturday Book Club: This book club for children of any age and their caregivers meets Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. and does not required reading in advance. A picture book biography will be read together, discussed, and then the group shares a snack and completes an activity or craft together.

There will be a “nondirected” program for children of all ages and abilities in the children’s activity room on Tuesdays from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Halloween crafts will be offered Oct. 15, 22 and 29.

Story times

Library Babies with Miss Anna: Fridays, 11 a.m. This is for children under 12 months and their caregivers.

Wonderful Ones with Miss Allison: Thursdays, 9:30 and 11 a.m. This is for children 12 to 23 months and their caregivers.

Terrific Twos with Miss Diane: Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. This is for children 24 to 36 months and their caregivers.

3 and Ups with Miss Diane: Wednesdays, 11 a.m. Stories and a craft for ages 3 and older with a caregiver.

Pick up a ticket at the desk prior to each story time (with the exception of Library Babies). Siblings are welcome at all story times except for during Library Babies.
