Fall play at Governor’s
BYFIELD — “The Book Club Play” by Karen Zacarias will be performed Friday, Nov. 8, and Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at The Governor’s Academy.
These free public performances will be in Bergmann Theater, Wilkie Center for the Performing Arts.
Ham, bean supper served in Seabrook
SEABROOK — A ham and bean supper will be served Saturday, Nov. 9, at Rand Memorial Congregational Church, 134 S. Main St.
The supper, the church’s last of the year, is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Cost: adults, $9; children, $5; free for children 5 and under. The suppers will resume in March.
The menu also includes brown bread, salads and desserts. There will be a bake sale to benefit the church’s missions.
Turkey dinner in Salisbury
SALISBURY — A turkey dinner will be served Saturday, Nov. 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at East Parish United Methodist Church, 8 Lafayette Road.
Cost: Adults, $10; ages 12 and under, $5; free for ages 2 and under.
Yule Fair slated in Seabrook
SEABROOK — Trinity United Church, 103 Lafayette Road, holds its annual Yule Fair on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Parish House.
The fair will feature local crafters, unique gifts, raffles and a bake sale. The lunch menu includes chowder, hot dogs, baked beans and sloppy joe.

Snowflake Fair in Groveland
GROVELAND — The Snowflake Fair will be held Friday, Nov. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Groveland Congregational Church, 4 King St.
There will be homemade baked goods, candies, preserves, the Cookie Walk, handmade crafts, vintage jewelry and holiday decorations.

Blood drives in Seabrook
SEABROOK — Trinity United Church is hosting numerous blood drives this year at the Parish House, 29 Main St.
The blood drives are scheduled for Mondays from 1 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 and Dec. 9.
Civil War group meets
SALISBURY — The Civil War Roundtable of the Merrimack gathers Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hilton Senior Center, 42 Lafayette Road.
The meeting includes a presentation, “John Stevenson — The Paymaster,” by Chuck Veit.

Antique appraisals at Rowley library
ROWLEY — The Rowley Historical Society will host Antiques Appraisal Night on Thursday, Nov 14, at 7 p.m. at Rowley Public Library, 141 Main St.
Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. The guest appraiser is Robert Cianfrocca, owner of Salt Marsh Antiques. The suggested donation is $5 per item.
Holiday fair in Merrimac
MERRIMAC — A holiday fair will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 27 Church St.
The fair will feature handmade holiday items, children’s crafts, quilted items, jewelry, holiday decor, a cookie walk, country store, silent auction and luncheon.
A continental breakfast of scones and muffins will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. A full lunch menu will be served at 11 a.m. Free coffee available to veterans.

Coats needed for annual drive
AMESBURY — The Amesbury Lions Club seeks coats for Anton’s Cleaners’ Coats for Kids winter coat collection drive.
The Lions are collecting gently used winter coats of all sizes (infants to adults) through Jan. 10. Coats may be dropped off in the receptacle in the main foyer at Amesbury City Hall, 62 Friend St.
The coats will be delivered to Anton’s Cleaners to be cleaned and distributed through the Coats for Kids Distribution Partners network, which includes organizations such as Massachusetts Community Action Program, Salvation Army, Women’s Lunch Place, DCF and Catholic Charities.
Genealogy Club meets at library
