River Valley info session
AMESBURY – There will be an information session hosted by River Valley Charter School at Flatbread Company on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Anyone interested is invited to come for pizza and have their questions answered about Montessori curriculum, Massachusetts charter schools and how to enroll in the lottery.
River Valley Charter School in Newburyport is celebrating its 20th anniversary this school year. The school offers a Montessori education — full-day kindergarten through eighth grade — to students from Amesbury, Newburyport, Groveland, Merrimac, West Newbury, Newbury, Rowley and Salisbury.
The enrollment lottery will be on Thursday, Feb. 27; the deadline for lottery applications is Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 4 p.m.

Monthly dinner at Merrimac church
MERRIMAC — An Italian buffet dinner featuring homemade dishes will be served Saturday, Feb. 15, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 27 Church St.
The dinner includes salads, desserts, drinks and a variety of choices. Dine in or take out.

Vacation week fun at library
AMESBURY — Several school vacation week activities will be offered at Amesbury Public Library, 149 Main St.
There will be drop-in craft activities all week, allowing children to make fun fake food. That includes felt food and paper bag pizzas.
On Wednesday, Feb. 19, 7- to 12-year-olds can roll and enjoy candy sushi. Registration is required.
On Thursday, Feb. 20, people of all ages can drop off a stuffed animal to spend the night at the library. The stuffed animal will enjoy treats and games. When picked up the next day, the animal will have a craft, note for its owner and lots of pictures.

Ham, bean supper served on Feb. 29
MERRIMAC — A ham and bean supper, followed by bingo, will be held Saturday, Feb. 29, at Holy Redeemer Parish, 4 Green St.
The supper starts at 5 p.m. following the 4 p.m. Mass. Bingo follows at 6:30 p.m.
The meal includes coleslaw, rolls, and apple crisp. Coffee, tea and water will be served. The cost is $8. Bingo is $1 per card.
