MERRIMAC — The driver of a pickup truck, killed in a crash on East Main Street early Saturday, has been identified as Tyler Richenburg, 22, of Salisbury.
Merrimac police and rescue personnel responded to the single-vehicle crash at 4:55 a.m. and found Richenburg, who had been thrown from the driver’s side, lying next to the truck. Richenburg died from his injuries before help arrived.
Officers saw that the truck struck a guardrail near Auto Alliance at 101 E. Main St. and rolled over, coming to rest on its roof on the guardrail near the Brox Industries entrance.
The crash is being investigated by Merrimac police with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit and state police detectives assigned to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
