NEWBURYPORT — There will be no delay in trash and recycling collection Monday on Presidents Day, but the Recycling Center will not be open that day, according to the city.

Weather permitting, the center is now open most Mondays and Thursdays from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. to accept electronics, cardboard, appliances (large and small), fluorescent bulbs, motor oil, antifreeze, tires, rechargeable batteries and clean, white packing foam.

Some items require a fee: www.cityofnewburyport.com/sites/newburyportma/files/uploads/recycling_fees_colby_farm_lane_recycling_center_as_of_august2018.doc.

The next Saturday drop-off will be March 7 from 8 a.m. to noon. The yard waste facility opens April 7.
