AMESBURY – The Holy Family Conference Society of St. Vincent de Paul, which includes Amesbury and Salisbury, is holding its Walk 4 the Poor on Sept. 29.

This charitable organization is raising money to help people who are less fortunate in the two communities. Money raised by walkers and sponsors will be used to provide help with rent, utilities, food and other expenses. Since the conference is all volunteers, all funds are used in service to help people.

Sign-ups will also be held at the registration table from 8:30 to 9 a.m. in front of Holy Family Parish, 2 School St., Amesbury, on walk day. Free T-shirts will be given to all walkers.
